I was an environmental science major in college…wanted to save the world one tree at a time. But somehow I took a different turn on the road of life and ended up in an entirely different field. Yet I still care about the issues and want to do my part. A hybrid was part of that mix (along with organic foods, energy conservation, recycling.) So this past fall we bought a hybrid because it was essential for my surgeon husband — who drives the Prius during his 80 mile round trip commute each day — to have a more efficient form of transportation.
We love it, not just because it is averaging 48 MPG (its highway driving), but also because it’s a comfortable and safe ride.
All of this becomes even more important when you think about the next generations, which we’re doing now that we’re expecting our first child. And, we’re already on the lookout for our next hybrid vehicle — we’re thinking the Toyota Highlander Hybrid will fit the bill. It’s perfect for us nature lovers — plenty of room.
